LONG TIME!!!OOPS!!!

First time in the snow

Hanging out with BFF Alexis

Halloween

When I first started this blog I thought it would be great. Well I am realizing having a little one takes up a lot of time. For the past 3 months I have been coaching volleyball and trying to spend time with my family, which takes a lot of time. A lot of things have been happening. Teagan is growing so fast!! Every time we bring her in for her Dr. appointments she is in the 9oth percentile for height and the 80th percentile for weight. She loves eating, and loves foods that are orange. Before we know it she will be crawling (AHH!!!!!!!) Currently, she is sitting up on her own, giggiling tons, standing with help and I am pretty sure she said Mama (I don't think she knew she said it though). Teagan went to New York City and Boston this past summer and did an exellent job flying. I will try to update more, when I have time.. especially the pictures.

Crying and cute feet, fingers etc.

Teagan Crying

Teagan crying during belly time

HAPPY!

Belly Time

This is Teagan with Grandpa Barnett on his birthday. The shirt says "If you think I am cute you should see my Grandpa"

One more day until dad's birthday :) His first birthday as a father.

Teagan has been doing really well, and she is a very content baby. It is great that Dave and I are able to go out to eat, go shopping or grocery shopping and she is perfectly fine. I should probably knock on wood now. She is also almost sleeping through the night. She will usually sleep for about 5-6 hours at first during the night, wake up to be fed and then she is off again for another 2-3 hours. This has been helpful with Dave starting summer school, and me not needing as much help at night. I am not saying every night is this great, but most of them have been lately. She is still being breastfed, and hopefully will be for at least another month. I am going to see how things go with school starting and coaching volleyball.

We have been keeping busy, Dave is playing softball twice a week, and I am running almost everyday, trying to get in shape for my upcoming race in August. The baby weight has been coming off, but I am not back to my normal self yet, and I am not sure I ever will be.

Teagan has her 2 month doctor appointment on the 25th and I am anxious to see how much she weighs. She is definitely getting bigger, which is nice, but at the same time sad for me to see.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

June 30th

WOW! Time has flown by. Teagan is already 5 weeks old and growing!!! (She loves eating)

Things have been going very well, Barny the dog is finally adjusting and every once in awhile we will catch him checking up on her and giving her feet little kisses. This morning he even layed next to her. Teagan is now beginning to smile and do it on purpose. Her smile is very precious and I am going to need to start practicing saying no to her now. She is also adorable when she cries and she gets this little frown going, and that is also hard to resist. Last night was another good sleeping night, she slept 5 and half hours through the night. Three nights ago she slept 6 hours in a row! This is great for mom and dad who are bit tired these days.

I am starting to get back into swing of things. Last weekend I played in a sand volleyball tournament (we won the tournament by the way :) ) and I have even started to run. It feels great to be able to exercise.

Dave has been wonderful!!! We have started to give her some breast milk by bottle, which has helped me in so many ways. I am able to go and do things alone, and sleep a little more at night (Dave now gets to get up once in the middle night to feed) He has not complained once! He is a wonderful father, he really seems to be able to calm her down instantly. Teagan adores her dad, and seeing how he is with her it makes me adore him even more.

Dave and I will get some alone time this Wednesday when we head to the cities for a Twins game. Wednesday will be our 3 year wedding anniversary!!! Once again, WOW time flies by!!!

Teagan Rayal Barnett: 7lbs 8oz, 21 inches long

I can't believe she is here! Teagan Rayal joined us May 24th at 12:21 in the morning. My water broke the previous morning at 1:30. Therefore, I was technically in labor for 23 hours. However, I did not start getting contractions right away, even when I was put on Pitosum. I actually didn't start feeling painful contractions until 6 oclock in the evening on the 23rd. Things before that were moving very slowly, and I would dilate a cm at a time. Finally at around 10ish they told me I was 8 cm dilated. Dave and I were very excited and the next thing I knew I could start pushing. I only had a push for about a half an hour.

Our hospital stay went very well, there are no major concerns and Teagan is a very healthy little girl. Dave and I didn't seem to think this on our first night home, when all she was cry, but the 2nd night went much smoother. I am interested to see how the 3rd night goes. Cross you fingers.

I will try to keep everyone updated on her progress.

oops, sorry it has been so long

Most of you are probably thinking.."did she have the baby."

The answer is no. Not quite yet. I am now 38 and half weeks. At my last Doctor's appointment on Friday, I was 3-4 cm dilated and flexible (not sure what that means). Anyways, I had my membranes stripped, and after telling others that I did, they said ohhh, it should be any day. Well 4 days have passed, and still no baby. Oh well, she will come when she ready. Too bad I am so impatient, maybe she should be too, and she will want to come and see the world. Dave and I very anxious, and it is driving us crazy.

I will let everyone know when it does happen. Sorry I havn't wrote for so long, I am just busy and then when I get home, I just want to rest. (Sorry for such a lame excuse). My last day of teaching is Thursday, and then I should have more time.

34 Weeks

I can't believe how fast everything is going! Only 5 and half weeks left until the due date. Sorry it has taken me so long to update. I was gone the 2nd week in April to Salt Lake City for a math conference and when I came back I was super busy. Yes it is true I flew out to Salt Lake City. I was very nervous for the trip. I just kept thinking about what would happen if I went into labor. Thank goodness that did not happen. Now when this little one asks if she can go somewhere I can tell her she has already been to Salt Lake City :)

Dave and I are doing well, we have one more prenatal class, and then I guess we are supposed to feel ready. Hmm... I keep thinking of things that we need to do. This past weekend I got very nervous about everything, I just want to make sure everything is ready to go and that we have everything.

Nothing is really new, I will try to keep updating as much as possible. It is becoming a busy time of the school year.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Week 31

Week 31 has been wonderful so far (Dave and I are on Spring Break). We had a doctors appointment last Friday. Everything went really well. We had an ultra sound, but it was actually harder to decipher body parts than weeks earlier. She is getting so big that she doesn't fit in the whole screen. I thought she looked like she was squished in there, but the doctor said everything was looking really good.

This past Saturday I had a baby shower, and got a lot of great gifts. She is going to have sooo many clothes, and she is going to be very stylish :) I can't wait to dress her! Other than the baby shower I have been taking her swimming, or I have been swimming. I realize this is one exercise that I can do, and I don't really feel pregnant, I feel light in the water, and can swim like I used to. I need to stay in shape, because in August I am running a race with some other girls I play volleyball with. It is the Ragnar Relays, it is a race from La Crosse to the cities and we each run different legs of the race.

Tomorrow night we have another prenatal class. Hopefully we learn some valuable information.

I can't believe there is only 9 or so weeks left!!!

Week 30

Prenatal Class

Dave and I had our first prenatal class this past Tuesday. I am excited to learn about where we will actually go when I go into labor, how I will know I am in labor (This is one of my biggest fears) and relaxing techniques.

Here is some great news... Amanda and Dan Swintek had a baby girl... Alexis Catherine, she is adorable. She was born Tuesday March 25th. It was very exciting to go and see them and learn about Amanda's experience. It is great to have someone to ask questions to.

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon. I am very interested in knowing how big this baby is getting. I will fill you in as soon as I find out. Thanks everyone for the emails. I did not realized that you had to have an account to leave comments. So if you have an account super leave some comments (Please leave a name, because I do not always know sign in names :) )

I will leave some pictures of the belly growth so far. I also have a picture of baby Alexis, Amanda and Melissa :)

Just found

I wish I would have done this sooner :)

I only have 10 weeks left, and I am just starting the blog, but I figure this will be great to use once she is born.

I am currenlty 30 weeks pregnant, and it feels like just yesterday Dave and I found out :)

So far it has been an amazing experience! Dave felt her kick around 17 weeks, she is an active little girl. She will wake me up at night, and in the morning. It is a joy to wake up to.

Right now we are trying to decide on names. It has been tricky thus far. If you have any name ideas, please send the comments. We have two picked out, but we are always open to new ideas.

Tonight Dave and I have our first prenatal class. I am interested to see what this all about.

I will try post some pictures, because I have had quite a few people asking me to see the belly. As for the belly it is growing, but not stretch marks yet :) My recommendation is to not get a belly button pierced, mine looks pretty funny now :)
